Located along Florida’s Space Coast in central Brevard County, Viera is a recently developed master-planned community that continues to thrive and grow. Divided into Viera East and Viera East, this 22,000-acre community has opportunities for every kind of lifestyle.
Viera was developed by Slovak immigrant Andrew Duda and his family in 1989. The name Viera is derived from the Slavic language, meaning “faith.” Over the years, the family has been constructing homes, establishments, and institutions while continuing to preserve the surrounding nature and wildlife.
The community has something for everyone as Viera has a wide variety of options to cater to different interests and lifestyles. Nature-lovers can visit the 200-acre Ritch Grissom Memorial Viera Wetlands while avid shoppers can get their retail fix at The Avenue Viera, a premier shopping destination. Meanwhile, health and fitness enthusiasts can use the latest exercise equipment and join various fitness classes at the Viera Health Complex. Viera also offers excellent schools, a state-of-the-art medical facility, community parks, and the internationally accredited Brevard Zoo.
